What is Show Skiing?

Water ski shows are an aquatic Broadway musical, featuring several water ski acts choreographed to music and built around a theme and a plot. Show skiing combines components of all water ski disciplines like barefooting and wakeboarding. Unique to show skiing are water ski ballet, swivel skiing, adagio (strap) doubles, conventional doubles, trios, freestyle jumping, and human pyramids.

Funding

The Carolina Show Ski Team is a 501c3 funded solely through donations, fundraising, special events, sponsorships, team merchandise sales, and skiers’ membership dues. None of our skiers are paid, and the team receives no public funding. Donations are solicited at intermission.
